We just returned home from Mexico. We stayed in Sayulita, a village about 35 miles nort of Puerto Vallarta. There was a surfing spot right in front, smoothies, swimming, and in the evening a lady came to the town square to sell delicious cakes. The food was good too, but the waiters a bit sketchy. Our rental house had a small pool we loved to swim in every afternoon.
So it has been ages since I posted - became scared of scary people. All is well with the girls and we have a fab new au pair living with us. She is from Sweden, and we like her a lot! Those are delicious Swedish meatballs she made, with mashed potatoes - best meatballs I have ever had.
Came home last week from two weeks in Singapore. Can't say enough good things about it. We stayed with a wonderful friend, saw the sights and ate delicious food, including chili crab! Even the airplane ride was very comfortable, except for the speck of dust in my eye that I could not get out for 10 hours.
We had a lot of fun with a campfire and the lake was great for swimming. We wished we had a camper van though, and learned a lot from the "professionals".
